In Kansas, we grow walnut...lots of walnut....BLACK WALNUT and with certain grades of walnut and trees, you get a variety of different tones and hues. Well, we just purchased 2 trees of black walnut...chocolate black walnut slabs! These gorgeous dark brown slabs and a gorgeous strip of tan on each side which is the sap wood of the tree. We treat each slab with several coats of a satin clear coat and buff smooth. These desk top slabs come with metal 2" tubing trapeze style legs that can be painted black, aged bronze, or buffed shiny for $20 more.

All slab tops are 2" thick and can vary in width depending on the live edge and are generally 18-23" wide (request a preferred size, but realize that due to the live edge....sizes can still vary). Want more character with the edges....you got it!! Slabs are cut straight in the back to rest against a wall unless the customer requests otherwise.
